St Anton is a well-known and popular Austrian ski resort, located in the Arlberg region. The town itself is attractive and always bustling with energy. The night life is hugely enjoyable, but families should be aware that the resort centre can get very noisy at night.
The resort boasts excellent powder conditions when it snows, and the off-piste conditions are vast. There is a very efficient lift system and the new Rendl lift is extremely fast.
For competent skiers and snowboarders, St Anton is heaven, especially if you have the mentality of 'last orders' and 'first lift'! For intermediate skiers or snowboarders St Anton will be very enjoyable and likely push you to improve a little. Intermediates may enjoy some of the ski routes in the Valluga bowls and there are some nice long runs which are ideal for intermediates. St Anton is probably not the best place for beginners (so families with young children should probably look elsewhere – please discuss your requirements with our sales consultants who can you find you the perfect resort), as the slopes are tough, and the pistes back into resort are steep and get very crowded.
