Courchevel 1650 is one of the satellite villages of Courchevel (the others include; Courchevel Le Praz, Courchevel 1550 and 1850) which is also known by Courchevel Moriond.

Courchevel is located in the Tarentaise area of the French Alpes and offers some of the best skiing around as it is linked with the famous “trois vallees” or 3 Valleys which is the biggest linked ski area in the world. Given the fast ski area, queues are always minimal and the lift system is hugely efficient.

Courchevel 1650 started off as small village called Moriond (hence the name revert) which has now grown into a wonderfully developed resort that retains its original style and character. With a wide choice of runs back into the village, 1650 suits all abilities. Although the village offers access to the three valleys ski area, it is set slightly apart from the other resorts which gives it a more peaceful less crowded direct ski area which is wonderful during peak times and perfectly suited for families with small children. For faster more experienced skiers and snowboarders access to the three valleys is still easy, and a day trip to Val Thorens is still within reach. To experience a more lively part of Courchevel, a short bus journey will get you to 1850.
