La Plagne is part of the Paradiski area along with Les Arcs in the French Alps. There are several differenent villages in La Plagne which all vary in Character. 

For beginners there are plenty of blue pistes and the area is considered an good place to learn. There are 18 free lifts in the whole area; and each village has at least one. Intermediates will be in paradise in La Plagne as there is extensive and varied slopes that cater perfectly for them. Nearly 80% of all the pistes are red or blue. There are a few steep pistes to entertain the more expert skiers and snowboarders but the best way to get the most from La Plagne is to hire a guide and explore the extensive off-piste. 

The mountain restaurants in La Plagne are well up to scratch, numerous and well varied. Eating in resort also comes up trumps as there is a decent range of casual restaurants including traditional savoyarde places as well as the more typical pizzerias. The apres ski in La Plagne is varied, and quite quiet during the low season, but there are plenty of bars to explore especially ones catering for the younger crowd.
