This family friendly Swiss ski resort boasts picturesque chalets and smart hotels. It is within easy reach of Geneva airport which makes it a great resort for short breaks. The traditional village overlooks the Rhine Valley on a sunny south-facing terrace and is surrounded by vast mountains.

Although it is known as resort for the rich and famous, Villars is actually nothing like Verbier, Meribel or Klosters. Everything is much more low-key and relaxed with a good focus towards family skiing.

Villars is a great resort for mixed ability skiers. For experts there is extensive skiing on-piste as well as significant challenges off-piste (please remember to always take a guide with you off-piste). For intermediates there is plenty of variety on-piste with some lovely long runs for cruising. For beginners there are excellent ski schools, as well as a free nursery slope behind station. There are some nice gentle runs to progress to as well.
